Georgia Wide Receiver Rara Thomas Arrested on Family Violence Charges

ATHENS, Ga. — University of Georgia wide receiver Rodarius "Rara" Thomas was arrested early Friday morning on multiple charges of family violence. Thomas faces a felony charge of second-degree cruelty to children and two misdemeanor counts of battery. He was booked into the Athens-Clarke County Jail at 3:20 a.m. and remains in custody without bail.


The charges stem from a domestic incident reported around 1:35 a.m. Friday. Police responded to a call and subsequently arrested Thomas at the scene​ (FanBuzz)​​ (FOX Sports)​.


This is Thomas' second arrest related to family violence since joining the Georgia Bulldogs from Mississippi State.
